It sucks that it’s the only day that Kenny and I get together, and it’s also the busiest day of the week for us sometimes. I wish that he could be off on sick leave with me and we could get things ready for the baby together. Then again I am sure that it is a good thing that we aren't together 24/7. Instead I think I will start the “super nesting” myself. I refer to it as super nesting cause I having OCD feel that I nest on a regular basis, or 5S as I refer to it. I have so much to get done that it all seems overwhelming even though it really isn’t necessary and I really don’t know where to start. I think for now I will start in the kitchen and work my way eventually to the nursery, maybe do one room a day. If I leave the nursery until last then I can get more input into what Kenny thinks we should do. I would like to say that I am going to get started right away but honestly I have done the dishes an am airing out the house as I type. I think that it might just be time for a nap. I can’t seem to sleep in anymore, but I can always go back to sleep after breakfast and a bit of cleaning. Weird eh?

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2008-05-05T12:54:36Z</dcterms:modified>

It rained for 40 days and 40 nights...

…or was that just 3 hours of watering the grass?

So last night in taking out half the garden out back, I also decided to water the grass out front. We have 3 hours every other night to water the grass and when I think of it, it gets done. I guess this turned into me watering the basement as well. I mean it’s not like I meant to. I just figured that it the water ran off the house and into the garden that was just less work for me right? Wrong! The front step is also the roof to the cold cellar and it’s not really watertight. I kind of knew this and I guess forgot. I figured if anything a few drops would get in. There was a puddle coming out the cold cellar door when I got downstairs. So I mopped it up and turned on the dehumidifier.

I later found that since the whole front of the house was also getting watered too that it basically leaked all the way around the basement. Kenny says that most houses are that way if there is too much water in the ground. I thought if the grass was that brown there wouldn’t be that much water.

I guess the whole idea is to water the grass right? Not your house!

Tonight we played in the garden. I did not really enjoy any of it except that I got to spend some time with Kenny. We tore all the Peonis’s out. I hate those ant covered flowers, they don’t even last longer than a week or two. By the time we were done it was too dark to take any pictures. I actually should have taken some before we started, but the garden hadn’t changed much when we started since the last pictures that I took really. Well other than it had been taken over by weeds. Now it is bare and hopefully will soon look better and be the easy to care for garden that I want. I have decided to move the Hosta’s over along the one side of the fence instead of the ferns. That way we still have them. I kind of like the purple flowers that they make. Well I am very tired and have to get up extra early for work tomorrow. I promise to take pictures of the changes in the garden soon.

We bought a sprinkler and a fan. That will keep us busy for the start to our long weekend. LOL Well, one will help the brown grass become green again and the other will keep us cool at night. Well Kenny anyways. I sometimes get cold and I sleep with a comforter even in the summer. I mean we have the air on for a few hours before we go to bed so it’s not like it’s a million degrees in here or anything. He is just a heater that is all!!

Song of the day: Spending Money – Jimmy Buffet

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-06-30T00:20:21Z</dcterms:modified>

Days go by...

Today I found out that the lady that we bought our house from is in the hospital again, and has been for 3 days. Julia would be 86 years old now and has a very bad heart. Her heart attack was the main reason that she was selling her house. She did not want to leave but could no longer care for it. I have only met her a handful of times, but in those few times I have heard about a life that was so different from my own and yet in a few ways very similar. I have kept a few things in the house that she has made or had here for the 40 years that she lived here cause it only feels right to keep them in their space. Even the plaque that hung over her kitchen sink now hangs over ours (as seen in photo below), although I have no idea what it says it just felt right to hang it where it always hung. Even the tree in the middle back yard that she loved so much is slowly fading, it's like I should have payed more attention to it....to her. Today I realized that I have been meaning to go and visit with her maybe drop off some mail that has been gathering on the top of the microwave, I have been putting of going to see her as I have been with going to the gym, the dr, the dentist, shopping for the wedding favours, even just going to get groceries. Our neighbour Harold a very sweet old man (the one that cleans the snow out of our lane way before we can get to it) came over to give us the news of her return trip to the hospital. In talking to him I was disgusted with myself, it dawned on me that I haven’t gone up to see her since Christmas.

Has it really been that long?

Have I really been that busy?

I seriously realize that I am working 7 days a week and my life is revolving around work. This can’t be this way when I have a family to take care of, and I ignoring my own family for work now? I mean have even installed Microsoft Office tonight so that I can work from home too.

Where do you draw the line?

Am I missing out on life?

I haven’t blog walked in days….surprised that you guys keep coming back.

Thank you!!

Song of the day: Days Go By – Dirty Vegas

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-06-08T01:58:03Z</dcterms:modified>

My not so green, green thumb...

...might be more of an opinion than anything else...

So last night and tonight was the start of us heading out to get some fresh air and do some yard work at our house. Now normally I get all excited doing things around our place the first time, but not this time!! I could lie and say that we started working outside around the house earlier in the season like everyone else, but like my taxes I left it until last minute. Which by the way I finally got my taxes done tonight, I am really not getting too much back, but I am thankful that I do not have to pay.

Really living in an apartment for the last 12 years I have only lived in one that ever had flowers. My landlord of my last apartment had a business below the apartment and was very into gardening. Spent a lot of hours making it look pretty good and when he went away for 2 weeks he asked if I could pull the weeds. He said I did great, but I don't know if I was pulling weeds or flowers? I just pulled the stray things that popped up around the stuff that looked like it was put there on purpose. It’s not as much fun as people make it out to be that is for sure, in fact I can't see it being a new hobby of mine. For sure it will stay yard work not yard fun!!

Kenny did make the suggestion last night that I wait and see what the gardens will produce since they are all perennials, and maybe see if I like the looks of it enough to keep it the way it is. I don't mind about the front and side gardens staying the way that they are, but it just means that I get to look at the back yard for a year and hate everything about it. I want to make that back yard into a real back yard, which to me has lot's of grass. You know for the kids to play on. I know that I won't change my mind, cause if I have a green thumb on me at all, it's for grass. I also think we have enough gardens, with one in the front of the house, more along the side of the house, as well as the backyard all around the edges. There is way too much in the back yard, in fact at the back there is some plants that for sure must go cause they will block out the light into our basement cause they grow so tall from what the neighbour tells me. Yes I went next door for help....or did help come from next door....cause I was not ripping out weeds.....those things I though were weeds were apparently daisies. Oooopppsss!!

In the back yard we have a huge mass of English ivy that has pretty much taken over the garden and some of the back yard. I was told that I have to tolerate it cause to try to get rid of it would be virtually impossible. Although I view most things as impossible very much possible, I am not too sure if I would like to find out. Maybe if I put some lattice along three sides of the car port it will grow up the sides and I can kind of make myself a naturally grown garage. It will keep the snow out and it will give the ivy some where to grow. I should have just put those bunnies in my back yard to eat all of my plants. I would not have minded!!

However the must go for sure item is...the tree in the middle of the back yard!?!? I don’t think I have to wait a year to know that. I feel bad cause the lady that used to own the house, her son grew it from a sapling and gave it to her. I just think it was a silly place to put it. I have been told if I move it that it will die for sure. It’s one of those trees that blossom so I almost hate to get rid of it cause I am sure that it will look pretty, but it’s in such a silly place. Who seriously puts a tree in the middle of a back yard??

...wait longer...

....cause I am probably soaking our my tub!!

I got some company after work tonight. It was my shipment of child labour. I quickly put them to work so their mother and I could talk about bridesmaid dress shopping. See 2007 April photo album for a good laugh. We are going to try to go dress shopping again tomorrow night after work. I am so excited to go, last time ended up being a real bummer when I got sick and couldn't leave my bathroom. (see entry called N O R W A L K) The more things that we get done for the wedding and the closer it gets the more excited I get. I guess it’s supposed to be that way though right?!?

So since I had to go to family supper without a bath I thought I would make a quick entry before I headed that way. To be honest with you I let Kenny use it first, I mean he did do most of the work. I thought it was only fair. LOL That and for sure all the gross stuff would be washed away so I could have a clean bathtub for my bath. I know I am not a nice person!! I did however get pictures on my in the bath to add to the April album. Of course I am not naked but I am wearing my face scrub. I mean what do I have to hide, we all wash our face right??

Would like to send *~*big hugs*~* to Randy and Jo for all of their help in the installation of the surround and for letting us use your shower while ours was broken.

...THE googly eyed fish shower curtain.

*~*whoot whoot*~*

Yes, this could only mean one thing, I have gone insane....or the end of all the bathroom work is here.

And after it all we are still sleeping in the same room (unless you are my grandparents in which case Kenny sleeps in the spare room) after all that work too which means that we must be able to work through anything. LOL I will appreciate my bathroom in a different way now for sure being without it for a week. Of course when we noticed that we had a problem it had to be the week that my monthly friend stops by and like all you women know, that week you are dying for a bath but I couldn't cause we were working on your tub. Atleast when we decide to put one in downstairs we will still have one upstairs to use, besides that is a long ways away for sure. When I get home tomorrow I have to clean the tub out cause everything will be dry by then and I can have my bath I have been dying to have. Yepper, all of the 24 hour everything you have to use to put together a bathroom shoud be dry.

A friend from work burnt me a copy of the new Nine Inch Nails CD - Year One, and I would like to say that I love it almost as much as my new googly eyed fish shower curtain that hangs in my new bathtub. Which we all know is a lot, unless this is the first time you have stopped by. The new album is so much like Pretty Hate Machine that it makes me squeal with delight!

Song of the day: Capital G - Nine Inch Nails

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-04-12T12:21:13Z</dcterms:modified>

The end is near...

the end of working on the bathroom that is. Well it's close. I guess tomorrow will probably really truly be the end, but you know what I mean. Kenny has been working on the bathroom since our gourmet supper of Kraft Dinner (the new shells) and we are feeling that we are almost done. *~*whoot whoot*~* I won’t be able to shower in it tomorrow like I was hoping but I might be able to maybe bathe. I miss having a bath so much and that alone would just be more than enough to make me happy....that and maybe some sleep too. Haven’t been sleeping well lately?!?

There really isn’t much for me to do in the bathroom to be honest with you. I have to paint the trim which I can’t do until it is on the wall and sealed with silicone, which means another 24 hours of dry time. This means tomorrow I can paint the trim, which is why we can not have a shower. The window is right in the spray of the nozzle so you know what that means. What is with all the 24 hour dry times on everything to put a bathroom together?? Kenny wants to do all the caulking which might be for the best cause I have never done that before. So I am just letting him do his thing. He is picky when it comes to caulking so I am just staying out of his way, unless I am in there taking pictures of course. I have added a few more today.

So I am just kind of blog walking and thinking about things. A very good friend asked me to explain how I feel about something today that is a very touchy subject for a lot of people so I will leave that out. I found myself really digging into why I felt the way that I did cause I guess I never really knew there was so many reasons why I felt this way. It’s funny life is, how different everyones is. It's what makes the world so great, it would be boring otherwise. That is why I like to come here and read about all the people I have met, everyone is so different with such different lives. We all teach each other something, most of the time without knowing it. The best part is that we can drop in on someones life and as long as we remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinion the blog world is at peace. Someone asks you to really think about something and then when you explain it in words it just gets so much clearer. I think now and then we must all pause and remember who we are. Respect who others are. Reflect on the person we have become!

Song of the day: Urgent - Foreigner

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-04-11T18:45:56Z</dcterms:modified>

One degree....

...is not warm enough for me!!

LOL I always thought it would be but it’s not, things do change with age I guess. We grow up and we are not so crazy anymore. I saw a guy on one of Kawi’s new ZX10's on my way home tonight, it sounded great and it looks pretty good to be honest with you...for a Kawi that is!! When I left work it was 2* C out. It’s funny cause the rule used to be that if it was one degree, it’s warm enough to ride. The guys would sometimes call me up and say what is going on, and I would reply "it’s one degree and warm enough for me". I would bundle up in those bright orange insulated coveralls and dig out the snow mobile gloves and go out with them for a ride. They would come from London which is a good half and hour or forty-five minutes away in December, January, even February. We ended our riding season in November and started sometimes as early as March. As long as the snow had melted and the roads were not too sandy or salty they would come down. Now all I could think about was how cold was this guy?!

Right now the guys are working on putting the last of the bath tub surround in. The "smutting" is over. Yes I am not sure why they refer to it as that and when I asked I got told "just because", so I left it as that. Mudding I guess would be a normal term, and when it comes to filling cars with bondo I can't help but say that they are filling it full of poop!! I am actually about to have some milk and cookies, and watch CSI. They told me that they needed my help but really haven’t asked for it much. I primed the trim to the window that used to be brown. I have been helping here and there when needed. I will be fore sure getting some pictures of the action to put up. It’s so exciting to know that I might be able soon to showering in my own shower again. Ok actually I knew that I should have never typed that cause just as I did Randy let me know that we have to wait 24 hours for the glue to dry and then we can caulk. Oh well I guess it will be Wednesday now, which is where I projected yesterday before we got the walls primed. Guess you can’t expect everything to run smoothly.

Well the drywall is in and I have learnt how to smut. It was actually kind of fun really and tere are even pictures to prove that I have done something this weekend. We are just waiting for the first coat to dry so that we can sand it down and add another. I am guessing now that it will be Tuesday before we get to install the tub surround which means that I can have a shower on Wednesday hopefully. That is if nothing else goes wrong.

I didn’t know that after we finish smutting we have to primer the walls, and then we can install the tub surround after that dries. So if we get a final coat of smut on tonight, we can sand and primer tomorrow and install on Tuesday night. I guess I might not get to start going to the gym after work until Thursday cause on Wednesday night we have to go get our taxes done. However I will be moving around quite a bit doing stuff so that has to count for something?!?

The Easter bunny must not have gotten my change of address cause I have yet to find the chocolate that he was supposed to leave behind. I just keep thinking that the day is not over yet there is still a chance that he might pop by. I have been walking around with my phone all day in case he calls for directions. There just might be some chocolate in my future!!

Quick Update: 10:15pm - We got farther than we thought. In fact I just finished putting the primer on the walls. We might be putting that surround in tomorrow night after all. *~*whoot whoot*~* Going to head to Kenny's parents for a shower now. It never fails when I paint or primer you always know what colour it is. Oh and the Easter bunny was really nice, he finally stopped by, or rather ran out to the store for an Easter creme egg for me, and a Pep patty. I ate both! What a pig I am!!

there is Randy and Kenny plumbing!!

So last night we had our family Easter supper at L’Aunt Lynne’s and like always the food was amazing. There are tons of pictures of the kids that I put into the April album. I always complain that I eat too much when L’Aunt Lynne cooks but it is just so good. I found myself doing good this time, just eating what I know that I need to. I think that next week when I start back at the gym it’s going to be a good thing. I know that my wedding dress is 4 sizes too big but that is no reason to let myself go, besides I would like to be in a bit better shape before we decide to get pregnant. I mean it will be better for me after the baby is born and well just better for the baby. I mean I am almost 30 so I can’t see the pounds just melting off of me!!

As for the bathroom the plumbing is in and tomorrow the big holes in the walls will get filled with drywall. I was told by Kenny earlier today to be ready to work tonight but instead I found myself in front of the TV with Jo, which was 100% fine by me. While Randy and Kenny tried to set fire to the house, Jo and I watched 40 Year Old Virgin again and found that it was way more fun than plumbing. You can see the picture of their wonderful plumbing job in the house pictures, not a big change to look at but a lot of work involved. We didn’t get a chance to eat until about 9pm so I ordered out Chinese, and it was pretty good. We now have to make a run over to Randy and Jo’s to have a shower. I figure maybe by Tuesday or Wednesday we will have our shower back!

Song of the day: You Burn First - Alexisonfire

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-04-08T22:25:44Z</dcterms:modified>

That really stinks...

So the bathroom was started this morning, well ok, late this morning, almost noonish to be honest. I mean we like to sleep in when we can!

In a matter of an hour the tiles were off the wall and we were discovering just how much water was behind them A lot more that we thought was, that is for sure. Well not more than we thought, I guess more than we hopped would be the right way to say it. So the wall had to come out too as you can see by the pictures that I added to our house album. I decided that there was no reason to just start a whole new album so I just added them to all of the pictures of our house and all the rooms that we have worked on. So anything that we are doing this weekend will just get added there.

Tearing out the wall was very messy and it was also very gross. The wall obviously stunk very bad cause of all the water, in fact it was like mush. I never knew that mold and mildew stunk that bad. Good thing I wasn't ripping it out! Kenny went to hit it with a hammer and the hammer went right through it. Our walls are not dry wall they are sheet rock, and this one was sheet mush!!

There was also a lot of newspaper and stuff jammed into the walls for some sort of insulation I guess. Our house is so old that our insulation is basically a sheet of tin foil. Guess that is what they used back in the day. We found all kinds of newspapers that were gross and wet and stunk but Kenny read a few of them. We found an old Woolco bag and a Canadian Tire flyer that advertised a liter of oil for $0.69. This was dated 1978. So the last time the bathroom was worked on was when I was 1 year old. Man that was a long time ago Kenny said! Ha ha ha, he is so funny!

I spent about a half an hour spraying the walls and studs and everywhere I could down with Lysol in liquid and air freshner spray form. I know that there is no way to get in behind the tub completely to make sure that we get rid of it all. I have I guess done all I can for now. It will for sure be much better now that we don't have soggy stinky walls. Besides everytime I go to the bathroom now I spray it a little more. Most of it should be gone I would hope, I mean there is almost a whole bottle on Lysol cleaner in and around those walls right now.

Since we didn’t know for sure if the walls would be rotten we are on hold until tomorrow when Randy and I can go out and get a new tap set, cause we might as well replace it now. You have to turn the hot and cold water on individually right now and it would be nice to have one of those new fancy smancy pressure balance ones so that when I flush the toilet while Kenny is in the shower he doesn’t get burnt. We also have to get some dry wall, and some insulation. We are getting closer to having that shower curtain up that you are all dying to see.

The tub surround is ordered (photo at bottom) and will be here tomorrow and the long weekend in the bathroom starts. Hey at least this weekend my time in the bathroom is by choice and my bottom won't be on the potty and my head in a bucket!! The new shower rod, hooks and curtain have been bought and are ready to go in. I can not wait cause I love the smell of a new shower curtain. Did I mention that I am weird....oh and that the shower curtain has googly eyes??

I am now over the tiles being taken out I just really wanted to try to keep them, but who knows if when we take them off that we won’t break one or two. For sure we will never find replacements. I have even got past the feeling that the surround might look cheap as I was told by someone wise (Randy) that it will look more modern. Actually the thing that made me feel better about the surround was the fact that I found such a cool shower curtain. I know crazy. It just doesn’t take much to make me happy I guess...just a $12 googly eye shower curtain!!

The one thing that I will miss the most is something that I looked forward to using in the future and will never get to use the way I wanted to use it. I did use it a bit after my breast tumor surgery in January, but that wasn’t the way I figured I would have used it. You see since I have OCD I shower and bathe a lot, and I mean a lot. One of my conditions is that I think I smell bad?! Weird I know!! Anyway, there was a "old lady bar" in the shower, it was put in to help the older lady that used to own the house (Julia) get in and out of her bath tub after she started losing her balance. Please if you are older and have one of these please don’t be offended I just really don’t know what it is called, besides I use it all the time and I really do like it.

So, back to the point I hoped to one day use it to help me in and out of the tub while I was pregnant. It’s funny cause when we first looked at the house and I saw it that is what I immediately though of. I do not want to put holes in the new surround, which is why we aren’t putting the sliding door thingy back in, aside from the fact that it is so tacky! I guess it served it’s purpose, besides Kenny said that he will help me in and out of the tub. You have heard it here so remind me of that when I am, that he said he would help!!

Song of the day: Consciousness - Cosmic Gate

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-04-05T01:51:39Z</dcterms:modified>

Googly eyed fish...

So having spent a lot of time in the bathroom while I was sick as I mentioned I also spent a lot of time cleaning. I did however notice that there are a few tiles that move when you clean them. We have noticed that since we started using the shower that the old grout has become very old and dry, it seems like the more we shower the looser the tiles become. This is not a good thing. So we will now spend this long Easter weekend ripping the tiles off the walls of our shower and putting up a tub surround. I know it is going be fun. This weekend is going to give me a great start to the April photo album. We are going to start on the bathroom right after grandma’s 85th birthday party Thursday night.

We have decided to take the very cool but slightly tacky old sliding/folding brass and plastic doors off and go to the regular shower curtain. Well close to regular curtain. You see we went to Wal-Mart to get a few things that we will need like a rod, hooks and of course a curtain. I picked up this really cool shower curtain and it is so awesome, I have never seen anything like it. I have always like clear shower curtains but this one has fish on it....and the eyes are googly. Yes that is right....googly. Like back in grade two when you made puppets and glued eyes to them that moved...googly!! They also had rubber duckies and frogs too but I think that the fish match our pee yellow and poo brown bathroom better.

I have to say after I make sure all the bills are paid....I don’t feel bad about acting 12!! Why grow up when you can still have a bit of fun in your own home??

P.S.Thinking of you Lauren...

I am just so excited about the orange living room. It just looks so good. The fact that the hallway doesn't match doesn't bother me anymore....cause I have come up with a new idea. I said new, not good!! The hallway by the front door is what I am worried about not matching with the living room, so I have decided that it should be painted orange as well. (wait until Kenny hears this one, evil grin). I mean not right now, someday when we have nothing to do, so like after new years. LOL See, there is a doorway that separates the two sections of the hall (the front hall from the rest of the hall) and so I think the yellow can stay in the rest of the hall, just not in the front portion. I am thinking it would look much better and the transfer would be a lot smoother. Or we can just leave it alone, which is probably what will happen I am sure?!?

Kenny emailed me earlier and told me that the mission of hardwood floor was complete and worked out great. He and my dad worked on the living room again. We just have to buy some trim to cover the gaps between the trim that is there and the floors. He is waiting for when I get home so that he doesn’t get the ugly trim as I called it. Meaning that he will let me choose it. Probably a good idea. LOL So we will be off to do that tonight before we go to mom’s cause I want to get this room finished ASAP!! Look for new pictures of the floor in the Our New House photo album.

The party last night was great. We all sat down and had a great meal together and talked about everything and then some. Well the ladies did, I think the men were too busy to talk cause they were drinking their beer. I really like the fact that Kenny's boss and his family are so great. I could hang out with them all the time. I spent a lot of my time keeping Olivia occupied. She is the owners niece, and she is 6, just like Tori. I got some great pictures of her downing her dessert that was seriously the size of her head. What a cutie she is, look for them on my 2006 More Family/Friends album. I have a feeling over the next few weeks that album is just going to get huge!!

Tonight we are heading out to clean mom's place, she called and told us not to bother, I think after reading all the things we had to do on my blog. Yes, she has joined us and is keeping up with my life daily by reading. It actually is good cause then I never forget to tell her anything. I reminded her that we created time for it and it does need to get done before Saturday, besides Kenny and I decided that going shopping tonight or tomorrow night didn't matter they will both be hell. The benefit is that we can stay out later Friday if we have to cause I won't have to work in the morning!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-23T15:22:42Z</dcterms:modified>

Orangalishz...

So the living room got painted today while I was at work and it looks great. I guess Kenny can paint after all. He says that it was the paint that sucked not him, I can agree that this paint is easier to paint with. My dad also hand a hand in it, he came over to help out Kenny, which I like cause that means that they got some time to bond! They will be bonding tomorrow from what I hear as well. They have plans to remove the carpet from the living room now and hopefully we have good hardwood under there like our bedroom.

So the house photo album has been updated yet again and as you can see the pink primer has been covered by the wonderful orange that I just love. My only problem is that the orange doesn’t quite match with the yellow in the front entrance, I know picky picky picky. I just want it to look good that is all. I think out of all the colours in our house I like this orange and the lime green the most!!

So we are off tonight to Kenny’s work party, which I am looking forward to. I decided today that there would be no snacking through the day so that I would have an appetite for tonight. I did a great job, but it also helped that no one brought any baked goods or chocolate into work today. I lost a pound last week but I am sure that I have put that back on and then some this week.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-23T15:19:25Z</dcterms:modified>

Holy pink primer Batman...

Yes for some reason the primer for the orange living room is pink?? Now am I the only one that is confused? How is pink primer good for orange?? Oh well I can't say it won't work until I have tried it right!! It just seems weird cause all the other primers were a lighter version of the colours we painted with. We switched paint companies to see if Para might be better that the Canadian Tire - Premier we have been using, which by the way is a good paint as well. Turns out the stuff rules. It took only a gallon to primer the living room, with any other paint we have used it would have taken two, which is what I bought, so look for the pink primer in another room down the road. Just decided to have some more variety so that we can be better paint experts and as a paint expert I recomend Para paints. So the house pictures have been updated to show the pink primer and my wonderful writing on the wall. It's scary when you think that the orange has to cover the pink.

So anyway, tonight I just about freaked out cause I am pretty sure that we don't have enough time to get all the things that we have to do before Christmas. Sounds familiar doesn’t it! Then I came to the conclusion that I just am going to have to say no to a few people, and yes to Kenny. So we have taken a few things off the list of things to do, which sucks cause it’s family suppers with my dad’s family on Thursday, and Kenny’s family on Friday...BUT...(before you judge hear me out)...I figure that we will see them this weekend for Christmas suppers so it’s not that bad of a thing. LOL Just means that I have to cook two more meals this week that I normally do. Missing one week won’t kill us, what might kill us is the fact that Kenny has been given his painting rights back. (Just kidding) Since he has the rest of this week off and we are really far behind on the living room he painted the ceiling today and It turned out great, I have never seen a better white ceiling. He will be attemping to paint the orange in the living room tomorrow over top of the pink, a big challenge but I am sure he can handle it. This is why I am priming the living room tonight. This will get us closer to the end faster!!

Wednesday we have to go to Kenny's work Christmas supper, which I am looking forward too. It would not be fair to go to mine if we don't go to his, so we kept that on our list. Besides it has to be better than mine was, I think goughing my eyes out with a spoon would have been better than the time I had at my Christmas party (that was not very Christmas like at all). I am sure that we will be drinking so there will be nothing getting done around the house tomorrow night, expect maybe me!! *blushing*

Thursday while I am at work Kenny will be ripping the carpet out. And at night we have to finish our Christmas shopping up which I am sure will be a lot of fun cause I know the stores are going to be packed. I have to pick up a few more last minute gifts, as well both my mom and dad have asked me to pick up a few things for them. Randy if you are reading this and you need any orders put in let me know!! This night I am also going to try to somehow make it to London to get the soap that my aunt uses to help fill her stocking that I am helping my dad stuff. (We pull names from a hat and stuff big stocking for everyone on my dads side) I also have to get more stocking stuffers for the stocking I picked, and the one that Kenny picked (cause that hasn’t even been started), and so that my aunt didn’t have to stuff one for all of my brothers kids I decided to also stuff the one that Tori picked.

Friday we have to go out to clean up mom’s house cause she somehow grew a big cyst behind her knee for the holidays, and now she can’t really walk. She calls herself the mutant/broken one which is funny, but it sucks that she is in a lot of pain. (which is why I am doing some shopping for her Thursday). Hard enough to walk around a mall, let alone when you can barely walk. So I told her that her request of giving her house a cleaning before our Christmas dinner on Saturday would be no problem, besides I love to clean, and she has a whole lot of house out there to be cleaned.

Saturday before I go to mom's I think I will start my Christmas decorating. I guess the Saturday is cutting it a little close but I will atleast get the tree up with lights, maybe since Kenny's family is coming over Christmas Eve we can trim it together?? Start a new tradition or something....I don't know. It sounds like a good idea though, doesn't it? I feel like I have been so lazy this year and yet I just can't seem to stop going all the time. I can't wait until I can sit a whole night on the couch and enjoy our work we have done to our house!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-21T19:29:21Z</dcterms:modified>

Starting the living room...

So you might notice that I have taken a few pictures around the house of the before shots, this is cause sometimes I forget to take them before we get started. I think I pretty much took all of the rooms now that are left as before shots, I haven’t taken the pictures of the baby room yet cause I need to do it when there is daylight in order for you to really see what we have done in there so I will wait until I get home from work someday when there is more light. Whenever that might be?!?

Last night we cleared out the living room upstairs which served as our everything room and started to fill in the gigantic holes left from the oldest curtains on the face of the earth. Surprised that they didn’t have to use railroad spikes in order to hold them up on the wall, although they stopped any drafts that came in. In fact Kenny suspects that is you lay the curtains overtop of you during a nuclear explosion you would be protected by them. I love them and the olive green that they are, but the were made in the 70's and I think that some nice simple curtains might make the room.

I am still going with the orange for the living room walls, as much as that might be a big challenge but I am painting the ceiling white due to a bunch of convincing that it would be best. I hate white ceilings!! The orange would be too dark though, so white ceiling it is. I think I have to paint the white around the windows again too as it looks like a cream colour now.

I have realized that I have to get on the Christmas shopping thing tonight. My sister-in-law stopped by and needed some help with the three munchkins as she has to go to Wal-Mart to get a few things and my brother was feeling to sick to come into town. So off I went and as I was walking through the store I realized that I have only 12 days to get the rest of my shopping done. I have problems getting out for groceries, which I need as well. For now I am going to bath and go to sleep. Very very tired!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-13T00:23:05Z</dcterms:modified>

Old owner...bring new friendship...

I notice that people apologize for not having time to reading all the comments left on my blog periodically, as well as others blogs. Do people actually read comments left as well?...cause I never really bother to read others comments. I just read the entry leave my comment an leave, is that wrong?? Am I committing a blog crime?? LOL Please don’t make me go back to court!!

So anyways we got another coat of paint on the hallway last night. There was a bit of an argument cause I sent Kenny out for a gallon of paint and he came back with a quart. I got mad but with him it never last long, I just gave up being mad and started making fun of him for it. Now he knows that not only is he banned from painting, he must obey all paint orders. LOL I just somehow knew it would need more than one coat and I would need a half a gallon to do so, plus another half to do the next coat. Well the quart got us up the third coat but I think one more quick one should do. Maybe I can get another quart and make it cover the walls one more time as the edging is fine it’s just the roller areas that are lighter. As well as we did some touch ups in the baby room, and tonight we put up the Nemo stickers, which might have helped the movie choice for tonight a bit! So all in all the baby room is done but needs more furniture, the hallway still needs one more coat. LOL Four coats, I should have guessed.

So we had company tonight. *~*whoot whoot*~* Not worth making the house look good if no one comes over! *~*hint hint*~* Kenny’s parents came over with coffee and we ended up watching Elf and Finding Nemo. I know how is Nemo Christmas like? I just hadn’t seen it in a while, and hanging up the stickers made me think of how much I liked the movie. I will be sure to take pictures of it tomorrow. Wow Elf was funny, I had never seen it before it is another movie that I could watch every Christmas. I love Christmas Vacation!! I could watch that the 10 million times they play it before Christmas.

I went to see the lady that we bought the house from today so she could have her mail that made it’s way here. If you remember I got nosey one day before we took possession of the house and when I saw cars here I stopped in to meet the owner. I met Julia and her beautiful daughters Ethel, Mary and Emma and before I knew it I had made some new friends and spent a few hours with them talking about the house. I decided that I should visit with her again and so I also took her a little Christmas present of a stuffed snow man to decorate her new residence.

She sold the house cause she had a double heart attack and was forced to move into a retirement home. She missed it so much before she sold it when she first got to the home, but she said that after she met me and knew that Kenny and I bought the place she wasn’t homesick anymore. In fact she told me all of her stories about the house, her family’s good times in the house and some good times her and her late husband had there. I wanted to cry a few times but she said that she is glad we are taking such good care of it, as her husband thought that he was a little more handy than he really was as she tells me.

I took her pictures of our changes so that she could see what we have done to it, and share it with her daughters. She didn’t recognize any of the bedrooms, and she lived here for 40 years. LOL She never said she didn’t like it, she just mentioned that the blue was dark and the lime green was a very different colour. We all know this is old person talk for "what the hell were you thinking"! I told her she could come visit any time, and I really mean that. It must be hard to to have someone tell you that you can no longer live in your home. What I wanted to be a quick half hour visit turned into a two and a half hour visit and I am really happy that it did!

She is such an interesting lady to talk to, and she has led such a crazy life. In fact talking to her has made me see even more what I could have for the future here in our home!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-15T21:00:40Z</dcterms:modified>

Well it finally snowed...

And it unfortunately stayed 24 hours. To me this is considered our first snowfall, as in order to be a actually be a snowfall in my books it must stay for a minimum of 24 hours.

I will apologize for my missing blog from yesterday but everyone in our office had to take this Outlook course for entering meetings into a online calender for our company. The teacher was so monotone and didn’t have a personality at all, and by the end of the course I figured out not too much new information that I couldn’t have found on my own playing with my email.

Tonight I am going to try to finish painting the hallway...I hope! I figure one more coat should do the trick, which doesn’t mean much since I have always painted with light colours (cause I was renting) and now I am into bold/bright colours. I guess we won’t know though unless I get started. Kenny's parents called as said that they might need a hand so you never know. Might have to wait until the weekend!!

I see lot’s of people talking about how they got everything ready for Christmas and as far as our Christmas progression goes there has been none! There won’t be a tree set up until we get the living room painted and the carpet ripped out, and we won’t get the living room done until we get the hallway done, so I better get my butt in gear!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-07T19:24:42Z</dcterms:modified>

It has started....again..

and no one fell down!!

Off the ladder that is! However last night I am surprised I didn't fall up the steps into the house as I decided that having a few drinks with Amanda while we were out visiting. I ended up having about 3 glasses of wine, which was sadly enough to get me drunk! Guess there are some benefits to never drinking (you get drunk really fast) which could save you money in the end at the bar. If I ever went there I might be happy about that, too bad I don't drink. Anyway, we had a nice relaxing night watching just hanging out and chatting, she showed me her new furniture and the rest of the house which is always nicely decorated (especially at Christmas) then we watched "Christmas with the Kranks", it wasn't as funny as I thought it was going to be. I think all of us were disappointed. I can't wait to watch "Christmas Vacation". That has to be my favorite, I think I could watch it every year for the rest of my life the 5 or 6 times it's on and still laugh every time!!

Going to try to post some pictures for you they are dark and look like black squares, I guess you will have to click on them to blow them up to see them, or you can just look in the house photo album. It's nothing special just a red strand of lights around the house, but what makes it so special is that this is our first Christmas at our house and it's decorated...well the lights are up for a start!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-28T14:31:34Z</dcterms:modified>

Some progress...

Although things at the house have been slow, some progress is better than none. Well I am not too sure if I mentioned it last week but Kenny got up on the roof and we are pretty sure that he fixed the leak. So last night we made sure that the ceiling was dry and he pooped it up, and so tonight we got the hallway sanded cause it was finally dry enough. Well to be honest with you, Kenny got the hallway all pooped up and sanded, I haven't done much with the house in weeks except for clean it, but that is top to bottom each Saturday so I guess that is fair! I just took pictures, or sat there and watched. LOL Which by the way I have added to the house photo album, Kenny is not a cocaine addict it's just dust!

Tomorrow I will on my way home he tells me that I can pick up the primer and paint for the hall, which is great. That means I can start to move forwards with things again. Do you remember what the hallway colour was going to be cause I just about forgot it's been so long? Well ok just a few weeks back anyway just in case you forgot I put the colour square back in for you!

I am now going to bath than head to bed, I know that work is going to be crazy tomorrow and I have to do something to get this dumb song out of my head. Yes once again I have Nowhere Man back in there...it's been like 3 months!! What is up with that??

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-23T17:57:20Z</dcterms:modified>

Ok...maybe not...

Ok I thought that the oil paint repelling the latex was bad but you would not believe what is going on now. I always knew that buying a house would be a great learning lesson in life but come on now. Enough is enough. Seriously, soon we will be able to renovate even the worst dumps! LOL I mean we are learning new things so there is a good side but a brake from stupid things happening would be nice!!

We went to start on the hallway last night, and that is as far as we got. You see when we looked at the house we noticed that at one point in time there was a leak in the ceiling, but the roof looking rather new so Kenny figured that the problem got fixed when the new roof got put on. You know what they say about assuming....so right now we are looking like a$$es!!

It started last Wednesday when I told Kenny to stop flicking the paint chips that were flaking off the ceiling all over the place. He said that he never touched the ceiling. Well why are they falling onto the floor I asked? So just to check it out Kenny got on the step ladder and felt the ceiling, it was dry, just flaky. So we figured that the movement from the door below the flaky paint was causing enough air movement to make the flakes fall off. We were opening it a lot the night before trying to keep the three cats from escaping while handing out Halloween candy. Again you know what they say about assuming....so right now we are really looking like a$$es!!

I have been finding paint chips on the floor here and there below where the leak once was and I have just been vacuuming them up. OK no I really haven't. In fact I really don't think I have cleaned in a million years. Well I have but not like 100% clean. It's so hard when there is so much stuff everywhere. Maybe some day everything will be in it's place. I have mentioned it to Kenny and he just said that we will just have to sand it down so there are none left and then we can paint. It will just be that easy! Right? Again would anyone like to volunteer to pin the tail on us?

So last night I mentioned that I would like to start on the hallway and asked him what I need to do. He pulled out the ladder to inspect the ceiling to figure out what we really needed to do. Next thing you know a lot of words (I can't post) started to come from him. I came over to look and couldn't believe what I saw, along with there being more flakes were little and big bubbles of water behind the paint. I tried to take a picture for you but it won't take it. Can you say hee haw, hee haw?

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-09T15:46:26Z</dcterms:modified>

The hallway is next...

Once again it has been a hungry day again. I am not much of a morning person so I don't tend to eat breakfast but it's weird, I actually feel like I might need to start. I used to drink a large chocolate milk and eat a bran bar but for the last few months I have been eating them later in the day, most of the time with lunch. For the most part breakfast makes my stomach turn!! I am going to have to change that back I guess cause my body wants food. I was wondering if it might be my vitamins maybe. I haven't been taking them everyday like I should and I just started to again last week. Would they make me hungrier?

I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 9pm, yet I still feel like I have yet to sleep. The chaos of indecisive customer must have got to me more that I though. Needless to say they are getting their parts early. I guess it could be a growth spurt? Maybe that is why I am eating so much? Too bad with eating all this food and sleeping lot's the growth will just be getting wider. LOL

So because I went to bed so early we got nothing done on the house. Which is fine cause everyone keeps telling me that we need to take a break, so there is my break. I just can't get over the fact that it's a mess and I need to get it organized. I feel like we did so much the first while and I need a swift kick in the butt to get back on track. We did last night put the chest and the coat rack finally in our room. They really fill in the empty spots nicely.

I just need to get the pictures on the wall so that it doesn't look so bare in that area. Which I thought about starting last night when I remembered that the printer is out of ink. Which wouldn't be so much of a problem if it wasn't a Dell printer. I have looked everywhere and I guess the ink cartridges only come from Dell, so I have to order them online and we all know I have no luck with ordering things through them. So I figure that might take year or two to get in and well it might not even come to the right house, like the computer itself. Hey anything has to go smoother than Sympatico service did!! Right?

I stopped tonight to get Suzuki to finally replace my clock in my car. I would have said sorry for yelling but the guy still tells me that I don't have an oil leak. I mentioned again that I used to work at Jiffy Lube. I know what an oil leak looks like and he said that he would take a look again next time I was in. Ya right, like I am going ot get my car serviced by a bunch of idiots. I will do it myself. I left before I freaked out at them.

Anyways I think after supper we will go pick up the paint for the hallway, I will leave behind a colour swatch. If anything we should get it ready for primer or maybe even get some primer on the walls. Guess we will see....

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-08T12:16:34Z</dcterms:modified>

Pictures are up...

FINALLY!

Not very many of them but you will get the idea of what we have been up to. In my blog you will find a few of the coulours in blocks they are close to a match, better than the camera shows...but that means you might have to go back into the archives and such.

I did not add any of these from my computer so that lets you know what my internet situation is right now. I guess it should be up and running by the 2nd. Ya sure!! Randy and Jo were awesome and let be borrow theirs for a bit so I could get something up this month, that way I won't get nailed for too much adding next month. It's really pathetic when a whole month has gone by and you still don't have internet!!

Last night was not the best. We got 20 kids and we bought for 200. One time I heard a man say that he wanted his kids to go across the street to the townhouses cause he "wasn't walking that far" to get to our door. The walk might be 30 feet! Pathetic!! What are these lazy people teaching their children?? Needless to say that we have a lot of chocolate left over. I think that in a few weeks I will have to be doing some more exercise, cause who can say no to chocolate??

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-03T21:51:31Z</dcterms:modified>

After 5 more business days....

it turns out that I still have no internet!! So if you are not in the mood to listen to someone b!tch you might as well keep on blog walking, otherwise grab a snack and pull up a seat.

My biggest problem right now is that I actually forget what it is like to have internet at home, I have not had service for the last month, a month people!! I moved across town people not half way around the world. (for those of you just getting in on this one I will catch you up on the short version. I called more than a month ago to move my internet to our new house. I still don't have any service!) I could see if I moved to a new city where the number had to change and it took a week or two, but it’s no more than 4 blocks away from where I was before and the number is the same.

Then you get these people on the phone who are telling you that they understand….no they don’t…I asked the one guy if he had ever had to call someone a zillion times for like a month and a half to get internet service…he said no…so than I pointed out you don’t understand how I feel. So don’t say that you do!

Seriously how hard is it to do your job? Just change the service from Bell to Rogers. Seriously, how many people move in a month?? I just have to be the retard that gets the shaft!! It was like this when we first got the internet. They took forever to find out what the problem was. It turned out then that hey had the wrong address, and I told them that it was that upper portion of the house too!

I have called now a million times. I have emailed a million times. No one can help me. No one can make my service move to our new house and connect. I think I will spend the rest of my life trying to get my internet service running. I know there are worse thing happening in this world and this is really nothing but I had to let it out!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-03T02:03:35Z</dcterms:modified>

We finally did it...

not that you pervert!!

We finally slept in our bedroom and did it ever feel good to be back in my own bed! The bonus too was that I have already put the electric mattress cover on the bed so when we crawled in it was so toasty and warm. Once I felt the heat I fell asleep instantly. We have a few more things that we have to buy to decorate the shelves in the room, like a large Kawasaki cause I think it will match the room great. There is a bright green ‘Cuda in Kenny’s car collection that I think will look pretty smart too. I think I have a pretty good idea on how to decorate the walls. I bought 14 picture frames cause I think that the photos that I took for the ‘wall of shoes" is going to go in our room. I was thinking the hallway or the living room but I will add pictures of our families there for people to look at. I think I am the only one that would appreciate the wall of shoes so I will put it when I can look at it.

We got the spare room put together it was easy cause it was all the old stuff from my room. It looks great except for the fact that you can see that the pictures that I bought from the Dominican are very bent in their frames, so they sit pretty crooked on the wall. Everything matches the paint rather well. I just need to pick up a new curtain rod for the drapes. The windows are about half a foot wider than the rod that I have. You will see pictures soon I promise. Bell told me I should have the internet Friday night when I get home from work, for sure, LOL so we all know that might not happen, but you never know!

Tonight we have to do a few small things to touch things up but I think I will get the baby’s room started. I can at least wash the walls down and tape everything off. That way I can get the primer and paint tomorrow and get that room on it’s way. We don’t really have any furniture for it yet. Just a play-pen that was left by the old owners of the house’s daughter, cause she knew that we would be starting our family next year, and that I have a lot of friends/family with kids. There is also a shelf that I think I might fill with stuffed animals and kids books too.

I think after that I will move to the hallway and then help Kenny figure out what he wants to do with the basement. The living room upstairs can be the last since we have no furniture for it. Don’t worry I am taking lot’s of pictures and I will add them as soon as I can.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-31T23:19:05Z</dcterms:modified>

Spare room done...

well the paint is anyway...

The shelf and the room finally got painted. It took a few days but they got done. They look good, well at least everyone tells me they do. I had a lot of visitors this morning, which I guess is now yesterday morning really, so I got lot's of feedback. Amanda (brothers) showed up with the kids and we had a nice visit. Tori was bored cause all her toys she plays with when she comes to visit are still packed away. Somewhere? No too sure where though. She told me that it would be easy to find them and unpack them so we should do it right then.

It's funny how a 6 year old looks at things. Like finding the box would be so easy, and then unpacking it would be ok and the mess that came with that would be no big deal either. She was even funnier when I brought out a bag of grapes, for that matter so was her sister. She asked me if I wanted some cause they were free. LOL I guess at that age you think everything is free. Payton was just shoving them in her mouth, she looked like a chipmunk, when I would stop her from grabbing more she would get mad and start stomping her one foot. It was funny. Mom called and said she had something for me, awesome curtains for the kitchen. I told her I had some surprises for her if she hurried. So we all visited together for a while. Then when everyone left I had to take Kenny lunch.

So for the afternoon, yesterday I painted and got done the two things I have been trying to do for days. I was supposed to go to Hunter 1st birthday and instead I slept. I started coughing so hard that I got sick, it was gross. I hate puking!! I wondered if it was the paint fumes but I was wearing my mask. I think it was just the coughing so hard part tat made me sick. Just to be on the safe side though I ate a little bit of supper and seem to be feeling not bad. The Buckleys helped, a lot!

Now we are out in the garage celebrating Randy's birthday, the propane from the heater is making me cough a bit, and I don't want to puke again so I came inside for a while. This also allowed me to make this entry. Of course everyone is drinking so there is a bunch of craziness going on. It's funny how you add beer into the mix and people end up in their boxers. Even some of the people you don't want to see!!

I am sure when I get my internet up and running I will be adding the crazy pictures I might get from tonight. Which by the way the new date for our internet is 5 more business days. Let's just not go there that is a whole entry of it's own.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-31T23:10:51Z</dcterms:modified>

No progress...

It turns out that I got nothing done on the house that I wanted to do last night. I mean nothing! We spent our time having supper with my dad’s family and we stopped by to see Randy and Jo.

The night started with me leaving work with the hopes of getting at least the last coat of paint on the shelf, since I stopped and got some paint on my way home. It turns out that while I was in the store waiting for the paint to mix and looking at light fixtures for the spare room the little man with his hammer found his way back into my brain. By the time I got home I think he decided to use my head as his practice room for his drum lessons. What a little prick! Someone has to explin to him that he is no longer welcome in my head.

When I got home I decided to lay down cause we had family supper to go to. With 3 kids running around and screaming/crying I figured that I needed to try my hardest to get rid of the headache. Turned out that Shawn and Amanda had other plans so they and the kids were not there. I thank them cause I really needed a quieter night. However it wasn’t the same without them. It did leave us with more apple crisp, which I am enjoying right now with the leftover pasta. Mmmmmmm…this lunch is so good….almost as good as it was last night!! Sorry I am rubbing it in for those who missed it. My aunts apple crisp is to die for and so we fight over it.

I am hoping to at least get the shelf painted before we go over to Randy and Jo’s tonight. I guess we will find out Monday unless I get to a computer over the weekend. I have been trying to get a hold of Sympatico all day and I keep getting stuck on hold for hours. I am not joking either! Been on hold twice and then I have to go help on the floor. It doesn’t matter anyways, not like they are going to work all weekend just to hook me up.
